North County Aikikai is a school dedicated to teaching the art of aikido as passed on by its founder, Morihei Ueshiba, and his direct disciple, T.K. Chiba, shihan. Coryl Crane, its founder and chief instructor, has studied with Chiba shihan for more than 20 years. North County Aikikai is a member dojo of the US Aikido Federation, Western Region, under his direction. The school is also affiliated with Birankai International, an umbrella organization that shelters the many students and dojos of aikido under Chiba Sensei's guidance, throughout Europe and America.
The dojo where we train is more than just the physical space; it also represents its community of students and families. North County Aikikai is especially welcoming and supportive of the many families who train there.
