Clay Cranford, 3rd dan
Clay began his Aikido instruction in 1994 at San Diego Aikikai while attending University California San Diego. Under the instruction of T.K. Chiba Shihan, Clay's studies included Iaido (Japanese swordsmanship) and aiki-weapons (bokken and jyo). After graduating with a degree in philosophy and being promoted to shodan (1st degree blackbelt), he and his wife moved to Yokosuka, Japan.
While living in Japan, Clay studied Aikido daily at Hombu Dojo in Tokyo, Japan. He studied with several of the resident masters at Hombu Dojo including, Miyomoto Sensei, Yokota Sensei, and Endo Sensei. After two years Clay was promoted to nidan (2nd degree blackbelt).
Clay returned to the United States in 2001 and settled in South Orange County. In 2006, Clay tested and was promoted to sandan (3rd degree blackbelt) at Birankai Summer Camp. Clay is currently teaches self-defense and force options at a regional police academy.

Garrett Fuller, 3rd dan
Garrett Fuller has been studying martial arts for 22 years and began his Aikido training in 1993. He was awarded the rank of sandan in 2004 from Shihan Mitsugi Saotome.
Garrett was chief instructor of Aikido Suimei in Frazer, PA from 2003 to 2008. He moved to San Diego in July of 2008 and joined the North County Aikikai to train with Sensei Crane.
